Claire is the Senior Vice President of Strategy. In this role, Claire is responsible for guiding ManTech’s annual corporate strategy review, enhancing business processes and tracking strategy execution and delivery results.
She came to ManTech following the acquisition of Gryphon Technologies. During Ms. Grady’s tenure at Gryphon Technologies, she was the Executive Vice President and most recently Chief Operating Officer where she led digital transformation and solutions delivery for national security customers. These roles follow nearly 30 years in the Federal Government advancing national security, serving as Under Secretary for Management from August 2017 through April 2019 and acting Deputy Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). During her tenure, in addition to overseeing all major investments and acquisition programs, she aligned 240,000+ departmental personnel and a $50B annual budget to deliver maximum effect for our nation during unprecedented periods of activity.
Ms. Grady previously served as the Director of Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (DPAP) at the Department of Defense, where she led the Department’s strategic efforts on services acquisition, championed business processes and the health of a workforce of 30,000 procurement professionals, and drove contingency, domestic and international contract policy. In this capacity, she provided strategic business advice as a member of the Defense Acquisition Board and shaped Federal procurement policy through the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
Ms. Grady began her career as an acquisition career intern and advanced through positions of increasing responsibility at the Naval Sea Systems Command, DHS and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Ms. Grady holds master’s degrees in national security strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (now the Eisenhower School) and in business administration from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Trinity University.
