Anne Hammer

Anne Hammer is a seasoned communications executive currently serving as the Global Chief Communications Officer at Manulife since September 2022. In this role, Anne leads global communications initiatives, overseeing a diverse team focused on colleague communications, media relations, corporate and financial communications, and thought leadership. Previously, Anne held titles including Head of Global External Communications at Manulife and Chief Communications Officer at John Hancock, where responsibilities spanned executive communications, crisis management, and brand strategy for one of the largest life insurers in the U.S. Prior experience includes a role as Global Head of Public Relations at State Street, where Anne managed reputation and media strategies across various business lines. Anne's educational background includes a BSBA in Business, Legal Studies from Suffolk University, along with studies at Bryn Mawr College, the University of Oxford, and Universidad de Salamanca.
