Josée Desjeans

Josée Desjeans has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Josée began their career as a Customer Interface/Field Service Engineer at Nortel Networks, where they managed customer issues related to telecommunications products. Josée then moved on to Ericsson Canada Inc., where they assumed various Product Management positions for wireless products and provided strategic and technical direction during development.

Josée later worked at Verint as a Senior Product Manager, driving the definition of security product portfolios and managing commercial strategies. Josée also served as the Senior Product Manager at Accedian Networks, where they focused on hardware platforms and creating innovative product lines for the Carrier Ethernet market.

In 2013, Josée joined AppHelp by AppDirect as a Senior Product Manager, overseeing the Premium Technical Support (PTS) Portfolio. Josée set strategies, managed design and development, and led the Product Management team.

Currently, Josée is employed at Manulife, where they have held various positions since 2017. Josée started as a Business Systems Consultant in Digital Solutions and later became a Product Manager for the Digital Experience. Josée then took on the role of Director - Head of Technology for Group Retirement Member Engagement and Data. Most recently, they are serving as the Director - Strategic IT Program and QA Governance Lead for Global Retirement Technology.

Josée Desjeans has a strong educational background in engineering and management. Josée obtained a Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on Management Path from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2000. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university in 1991.

Furthermore, Josée Desjeans also holds multiple certifications in various fields. Josée obtained the Certified SAFe 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in February 2023. In May 2022, they obtained the ICAgile Coaching Certified Professional - Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) certification from ICAgile. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Practitioner of Human-Centered Design from the LUMA Institute, which they obtained in March 2022.
