Scott Carey

Scott Carey has a diverse work experience in risk management and leadership roles. Scott is currently the Managing Director Head of Risk Global Retirement at Manulife, where they lead a team and oversees the risk management program for retirement businesses in the US, Canada, and Asia. Prior to this, they worked as the Director Risk Management at John Hancock, where they were responsible for strategic risk advising and managing various risk disciplines within the Retirement Plan Services business. Scott also has experience as the VP; Director Risk Administration and Governance at Santander Bank, N.A., VP; Director of Operational Risk Management at Admirals Bank, and VP; Integrated Risk Management Lead, among other roles, at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Scott Carey began their career as a Collateral Loan Administrator at Bank of America and later served as an Operations Manager at Taramark, where they managed the daily operations of a real estate title company.

Scott Carey has a diverse education history. Scott obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Vermont, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Needham High School, obtaining a diploma from 1995 to 1998.

In terms of further education, Scott obtained a Certificate in Commercial Lending and Corporate Finance from the New England College of Business, where they studied from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago, completing the program from 2009 to 2011.

Scott also holds several additional certifications. Scott obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2012. Furthermore, they have obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, including Learning Security Frameworks and Quality Management Foundations in January 2022, UX Deep Dive: Mapping, UX Deep Dive: Remote Research, UX Foundations: Research, and UX Research Methods: Interviewing in September 2021, and Blockchain: Beyond the Basics in August 2021.
