Steve Ramsey

Steve Ramsey has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Steve started their career at GEC Avionics as a Sponsored Student, gaining programming experience in Coral 66, C, and Smalltalk. Steve then worked as a Software Engineer at IPL, where they developed network elements for Vodafone and gained knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Steve later joined Vodafone UK, where they held various executive roles, such as Head of Mobile Applications & Content Services Domain, Head of Mobile Applications Domain, Head of Systems, and Intelligent Network Team Leader. In these roles, they were responsible for technical evolution plans, development, capacity management, and operational support for Vodafone UK's service layer. Steve also managed teams, budgets, and relationships with suppliers. Steve then worked as VP Engineering at 724 Solutions, leading software development and QA activities. Steve served as Director Core & IMS System Solutions at Ericsson UK, responsible for solution architect activities and creating customer solutions. At Acision, they held the position of VP Technology, overseeing product architecture and roadmap planning. Steve later joined Huawei UK as Director of Integrated Solutions, leading pre-sales and customer engagement efforts. Currently, they work as Head of Networks at Manx Telecom.

Steve Ramsey attended the University of Bristol from 1986 to 1989. Steve successfully completed a degree in Computer Systems Engineering, achieving a first-class honors designation (B.Eng Hons 1st Class).
