Rik Esselink has a strong and diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Rik is currently working as the Chief Revenue Officer at MAPAL Group since May 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at Zenjob from February 2020 to May 2023.

From 2017 to 2020, Rik served as the Managing Director Europe at Ring, a role in which they demonstrated their leadership skills and expertise in managing operations across Europe. Before this, they held the position of Managing Director EMEA at Axon from September 2015 to January 2017. In this role, they were responsible for building and leading the international headquarters, focusing on market entry strategy, team building, and various key functions.

Rik also gained valuable experience at Philips, where they held multiple roles. From September 2008 to September 2015, they served as the Senior Director Consumer Marketing, leading the Philips Male Grooming business and spearheading the development and launch of the revolutionary OneBlade. Additionally, they held the positions of Sales Director Russia from October 2007 to September 2008 and Sales Director - EMEA from October 2002 to October 2007.

Further back in their career, Rik worked as the Director of Business and Corporate Development at Liberate Technologies from August 1999 to October 2002. During their time there, they closed numerous infrastructure partnership deals and was involved in major acquisitions. Prior to that, they served as a Product Manager STB (partnership with Philips) at TiVo from August 1998 to September 1999.

Rik started their career as an Associate at McKinsey & Company in June 1997 before transitioning to Procter & Gamble, where they worked as an Account Executive from August 1993 to August 1996. At Procter & Gamble, they successfully managed a $20 million paper business and exceeded sales quotas.

Throughout their career, Rik Esselink has demonstrated their strong leadership, strategic thinking, and business development skills across various industries and positions.

Rik Esselink pursued their education chronologically with a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Harvard University, which they obtained between 1989 and 1993. Subsequently, they enrolled at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from 1996 to 1998.
