The successful candidate for this L2 specialist role will be tasked with overseeing various projects, starting with smaller, shorter-term initiatives. Key responsibilities will include gathering project requirements from engineering and product teams, coordinating team members, and presenting reports to stakeholders. We are seeking an individual who is proactive, results-driven, and dedicated to delivering exceptional project outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • You will be responsible for processing large amounts of raw data to identify patterns and issues.
  • You will also communicate with stakeholders to refine project requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Your tasks will include building workflows, conducting investigations, and providing analysis to identify insights and report any bugs or errors.
  • You will be responsible for mentoring and organizing a team of people.
  • You will need to be adaptable and adjust your workflow and mentoring style as circumstances change.
  • You will also work with data related to maps, search, and navigation to identify any issues that may impact the quality of results.
  • You will be responsible for editing large volumes of data in specialized tools, creating content for Mapbox services and products, and working with engineering teams to build and improve new tools.
  • You will analyze large amounts of data to propose automated solutions, utilizing your analytical skills to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role

  • English proficiency: B1 minimum, but B2 or higher is preferred. Please indicate your English level in your CV.
  • Project management or related experience, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic knowledge of technical skills such as SQL/Python or other programming languages.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub and project management tools like Jira.
  • Experience in the IT sector or completion of IT courses, allowing for understanding of communication culture and processes in a high-tech international company.
  • Logical thinking and ability to reason independently.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify patterns in large datasets.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapting to changing conditions and workflows.
  • Focus on maintaining high-quality and accurate data processing, even in rapidly changing situations.
  • Quick learner, able to switch between projects with different workflows or instructions, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Welcomed Traits for This Role

  • Experience with working with, testing, and analyzing maps, search, and navigation data.
  • Desire to continuously develop and expand skills within the field.

 Familiarity with traffic rules and regulations, with the ability to analyze traffic situations and model driver behavior or use-cases (a driving license or completion of driving school would be an asset).

  • Understanding of the OpenStreetMap (OSM) service and interest in cartography. If you have an account on OSM edits, please indicate this in your CV.
