Matthias Plaue is a seasoned academic and professional in the fields of mathematics and data science. Currently serving as a professor at IU International University of Applied Sciences, Matthias teaches mathematics to engineering and management students. As the Chief Data Scientist at Mapegy since November 2012, Matthias leads the data science division in addressing complex challenges in data analysis and visualization, utilizing information from diverse and unstructured sources. Additionally, Matthias has contributed as a textbook author for Springer Nature Group, focusing on academic literature in data science and applied mathematics. Previous research roles at Technische Universität Berlin and Heidelberger University have enriched Matthias's expertise in image processing, differential geometry, relativity theory, and pedestrian dynamics. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics and a Diplom in Physics from Technische Universität Berlin, as well as undergraduate studies at Heidelberg University.
