Kris Hanson is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as General Counsel for MapLight Therapeutics, Inc., Kris oversees the company's legal and compliance functions while contributing to its senior management team. Prior roles include Senior Vice President & General Counsel at PhaseBio Pharmaceuticals, where Kris managed SEC reporting and compliance, and Vice President of Legal & Compliance at Nalpropion Pharmaceuticals, responsible for legal oversight across various functions including human resources. Kris's legal career began as an attorney at prominent firms such as Morrison & Foerster LLP and Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, following a judicial clerkship with U.S. District Court Judge S. Rhoades, Sr. Kris holds a JD from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a BA in Political Science from Georgetown University.
