Ronnie Martinez-Avila has over 18 years of experience in engineering and controls. In 2021, they are working as an IoT Systems Engineer - Integrations and Support at Mapped, where they are responsible for providing integration and monitoring support for hardware edge gateway, containerized software gateway, and service through VPN. Prior to this, Ronnie worked as a Building Automation Systems Controls Applications Engineer at Hunton Trane from 2005 to 2008 and as a HVAC Applications Engineer / Controls Product Manager at Nailor Industries Inc from 2003 to 2005. Ronnie started their career in 2002 as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Madero Engineering Consultants Corp.

Ronnie Martinez-Avila has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, obtained between 1998 and 2002.
