Anna Kuznetsova is a dedicated research scientist currently at Mara Renewables Corporation since July 2023, focusing on the design and optimization of fermentation processes for omega-3 acids from microalgae. In addition to this role, Anna serves as a reviewing editor for the Microbiology Resource Announcements Journal, ensuring the quality of research submissions. As a PhD candidate at the University of Prince Edward Island since September 2017, Anna's research investigates the molecular mechanisms of antibiotic production in streptomycetes. Previous experience includes a research position at the Research Center of Biotechnology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where Anna contributed to studies on microbial diversity, and a consultant role for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, focused on soil protection legislation and remediation projects.
