George Alfred Kennedy

George Alfred Kennedy possesses extensive experience in economic development, public diplomacy, and advisory roles. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Economic Development Committee and a Chamber Member at the Marana Chamber of Commerce since September 2008, Kennedy has led initiatives such as a two-year "Business Walk" project to engage local business owners. Kennedy has been involved with the University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences as a Board Member since June 2006 and has served on the Advisory Board for the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona from June 2012 to June 2019. Prior roles include significant diplomatic positions within the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Commerce, including serving as American Consul General in Toronto and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State. Kennedy holds advanced degrees from Johns Hopkins and a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon, supporting a robust academic foundation in political science and international relations.
