Andrew Rabinowitz

President & Chief Operating Officer at Marathon Asset Management

Andrew Rabinowitz has been with Marathon Asset Management since January 2002, and is currently the President, Partner, and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Andrew has helped grow the company from about 8 to 150 professionals and approximately $250 million to $22+ billion. Mr. Rabinowitz spearheaded the Public Private Investment Program (PPIP) process as one of nine US Treasury selected managers. Andrew oversaw domestic and global regulatory and financial audits in multiple jurisdictions with domestic and international regulators. Mr. Rabinowitz also implemented cyber security processes with leading third party providers.

Mr. Rabinowitz has hired about 100 employees, including C-level executives and senior leadership, while helping to integrate HR policies and procedures. Additionally, they have built effective, global, third party and stakeholder/client relationships; assisted in raising significant capital in new Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) funds, Liquid Alternatives, and 40 Act Funds. Andrew also set up financial policies including initial allocation policy, valuation policy, and internal control policy and procedures; started internal audit procedure with third parties, utilizing best practices; moved to and oversaw Registered Investment Advisor status with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) before required and oversaw audits of SEC and other global regulators. Furthermore, Mr. Rabinowitz helped develop the structure for Funds of One/Managed Accounts including integration of policies and procedures, proprietary systems, and legal structures in global jurisdictions.

Andrew Rabinowitz has a Doctor of Law from Fordham University School of Law. Andrew also has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in accounting from Pace University. In addition, they are certified by the New York State Bar Association and the Bar Association of the District of Columbia as a barred attorney. Andrew is also certified by the State of Maryland and the New York State Education Department as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

They work with Louis Hanover - Chief Investment Officer, Jeff Jacob - Senior Portfolio Manager, and Andrew Brady - Senior Portfolio Manager. Their manager is Bruce Richards, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer.
