Derek Brown

Derek Brown has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Regional Wellness Coordinator at RehabCare Group Inc from April 2011 to September 2013. In this position, they oversaw the operations of the Wellness Center and implemented marketing concepts to improve client rapport. Derek provided coverage to over 20 Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities across three states.

Following this, Derek worked as a Regional Health Adviser at HealthFitness from September 2013 to November 2014. Derek served as the onsite presence for the Mars Wellness Program, planning, promoting, implementing, and evaluating wellness programs at various Mars locations.

From November 2014 to November 2017, Derek joined BNSF Railway as the Manager of Wellness. Derek served as a local leader, implementing wellness solutions over a dispersed multi-state territory. Derek stayed updated with health and productivity trends, recommending new programs based on evidence. Derek engaged with employees through group training, presentations, health screenings, and limited personal health coaching. Derek also tracked and measured program outcomes and collaborated with various stakeholders.

Currently, Derek holds positions at Marathon Health. Derek was a Senior Account Manager from November 2017 to January 2019, then became the Regional Director of Customer Experience Management from January 2019 to January 2020. Currently, they work as the Regional Vice President of Client & Care Team Experience, starting in January 2020.

Derek Brown has a Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling/Psychology from the University of North Texas, obtained from 2014 to 2016. Derek also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health & Healthcare Administration from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), obtained from 2010 to 2015. In addition, Derek is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, certified by the CRCC (Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification) in December 2016.
