Cara Salfino's work experience includes various roles at different companies. Cara started their career as a District Intern at the Congressional Office of Congressman Rothman in 2012. In 2015, they interned at Flanagan, Fulkerson & Co. and also served as a Legislative Intern for Senator Charles E. Schumer in the United States Senate. Cara then joined Friends of Schumer as an Intern in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Research/Investigative Intern at Mintz Group before being promoted to Investigator in 2017. In 2019, they transitioned to Marathon Strategies LLC as a Research Associate and later became a Senior Research Associate. Most recently, they have been working there as the Director of Research since July 2021.

Cara Salfino received their Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from The George Washington University, where they attended from 2013 to 2017.
