Shawn Young

Shawn Young has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology field. Shawn started their career as a Technical Lead and Software Architect at MasterCard, where they worked on regional initiatives for MasterCard.com and Priceless.com. Shawn then joined Express Scripts as a Senior Software Consultant, where they were part of a team that redesigned and implemented the ESI call center support application.

Shawn then worked as a Senior Software Consultant at Suddenlink Communications, where they designed and developed enterprise web services for ordering and delivering digital converters. Shawn continued their consulting work at Aclara, where they designed and developed enterprise WCF services and web-based utility management applications.

At RehabCare, Shawn served as a Senior Technical Architect, leading a team of .NET developers, SQL Server report writers, QA/testers, and business analysts. Shawn designed, developed, and supported an enterprise web application for processing and analyzing Medicare claims.

Shawn also had roles at Express Scripts as a Solution Architect/Product Engineer, where they provided technical guidance to the Medical Benefit Management (MBM) line of business. Shawn worked closely with clients and vendors to lead projects from inception to deployment.

At Hudson's Bay Company, Shawn served as a Technical Analyst and Team Lead, assisting in understanding and documenting high value business systems after a merger with Lord & Taylor. Shawn facilitated technical review sessions and provided guidance for establishing a knowledge repository.

Shawn's expertise in architecture and team leadership continued at Express Scripts, where they were a Lead Architect and Team Lead for a pharmacy replatforming effort. Shawn established future state architecture for a suite of applications and guided the full software development lifecycle.

Most recently, Shawn joined Marcone Supply, where they took on roles such as Director of IT, VP of Technology, and currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer.

Shawn Young obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Ohio Northern University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001.
