Marco’s Pizza Chairman and Co-CEO Jack Butorac is an industry veteran with more than 40 years’ experience turning high- quality local restaurant concepts into thriving national companies.

Butorac’s first job after earning his degree from Minnesota State University was for a fast-moving company called Zapata’s, featuring a small group of Mexican fast-food stores and a line of grocery products. At Zapata’s, Butorac started as a manager trainee and quickly advanced through the ranks to Director of Operations, overseeing the restaurant division. After Heublein acquired Zapata’s, Butorac became responsible for packaging Zapata’s for national expansion to KFC Franchisees. Following his success with Zapata’s, Butorac was sought out by Chi-Chi’s Mexican Restaurant, Fuddruckers, and other concepts.
