Prasanta Saikia

Prasanta Saikia is an accomplished professional in the field of artificial intelligence and data science, currently serving as the Generative AI Lead at Marcura since November 2024. Previously, Prasanta worked as an LLM Engineer at Input Output (IOHK), where an enterprise wiki solution named Charlie was developed to enhance user queries with locally deployed LLMs. As an AI Research Engineer at BEAM+ LAB, Prasanta created generative AI-driven conversational 3D avatar chatbots for customer service. Prior experience includes roles as a Data Scientist at Prudential Corporation Asia, where several computer vision-based health products were launched, and as a Specialist in Data Analytics at Sun Life, focusing on customer retention analytics. Prasanta holds a Master of Philosophy and a Master of Science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Technology from Tezpur University.
