Matt Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Matt began their career in 1997 as a Clubhouse Attendant for the Milwaukee Brewers. Matt then joined the Arizona Diamondbacks as a Clubhouse & Equipment Manager for the Tucson Sidewinders (AAA) from 2003 to 2004. In 2002, they worked as the Clubhouse & Equipment Manager for the Arizona Fall League under Major League Baseball. Matt returned to the Milwaukee Brewers in 2004 as a Clubhouse Assistant and later served as the Manager of Team Travel & Clubhouse Operations from 2014 to 2018.
In 2018, Matt joined Marcus Hotels & Resorts and has held various roles at different properties. Matt started as a Banquet Manager at The Pfister Hotel from December 2018 to June 2019. Matt then became an Events Manager at The Pfister Hotel from July 2019 to January 2020, subsequently serving as a Senior Events Manager from February 2020 to July 2021. From August 2021 to April 2023, Matt worked as the Director of Banquets & Events at Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel. Finally, they are currently serving as the Area Director of Banquets & Events at The Pfister Hotel and Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel starting in April 2023.
Matt Smith attended Southern New Hampshire University from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2001, they attended Marquette University, with a focus on Mathematics. Before their university studies, they graduated from Marquette University High School in 1999.
