Rick Lechtman has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Rick began their career as a Vice President at The New York Mortgage Company in 1991. Rick then worked as a Vice President at Nomura from 1996 to 1999 and at JP Morgan from 1999 to 2000. In 2001, they joined CBRE as a Director. From 2002 to 2013, they served as a Managing Director at Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group. In 2008, they became the President of the NYC Chapter of NAIOP, a position they held until 2009. In 2013, they joined Marcus & Millichap as the Eastern Director, National Office & Industrial Property Group. Rick then served as the Regional Director of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp. from 2015 to 2017. Currently, they are the First Vice President - Capital Markets at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp. In addition, they have held leadership roles at NAIOP, serving as the President of the NYC Chapter in 2018 and as the Co-chair of the Programming Committee for NAIOP New Jersey since 2019.
Rick Lechtman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from Tulane University, where they studied from 1984 to 1989. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Millburn High School from 1980 to 1984. In 2002, Rick received an Advanced Professional Certificate in Real Estate from the Shack Institute at New York University, specializing in Real Estate Finance & Investments. Additionally, in June 2020, they became a Mortgage Action Alliance Member through the Mortgage Bankers Association.
