Hilmar Hauksson, M.Sc. has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Hilmar started their career as a Network Administrator at Sjova-Almennar Tryggingar in 1995 and later worked as a Software Engineer at EJS, where they developed Oracle solutions for retail systems. In 2000, they joined Openwave Systems, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on web and back-end development, and later took on the role of Operations Program Manager, leading technical implementations and operations for a European Data Center. From 2002 to 2007, Hilmar worked at IBM Global Services as a Senior Consultant and Competency Center Lead, specializing in Oracle DBA and e-Business suite consulting. Following that, they became a Development Manager at CCP, overseeing web development and intranet projects for CCP Games and the EVE Online MMORPG game. In 2014, they transitioned to Bethesda Softworks as a Senior Product Manager and Senior Program Manager, successfully launching an online account management service. Hilmar then joined Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) in 2016 as an Associate Director of Project and Program Management before moving on to their current role at Marel in 2018. At Marel, they initially worked as a Software Program Manager and is currently the Software Program Management Lead.

Hilmar Hauksson, M.Sc. has a diverse educational background. Hilmar obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from Háskóli Íslands during the years 1992 to 1996. Subsequently, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School from 2004 to 2006. Lastly, they earned their Master of Science (MS) in Engineering and Management of Information Systems from KTH Royal Institute of Technology between 2010 and 2013. Additionally, Hilmar Hauksson has obtained several certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute in July 2017, Oracle Certified Professional from Oracle in 2012, Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in 2009, and Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in 2008.
