Jesper Hjortshøj

Jesper Hjortshoj has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jesper began their career as a co-owner of Rapjumping in Australia from 1990 to 1993. Following that, they worked as a freelance stuntman from 1993 to 1994. Jesper then transitioned to the field of business and communications, serving as a business and communications advisor at Raabo Kommunikation from 2002 to 2006. Jesper then held the role of PR Manager at Marel - Scanvaegt International A/S from 2006 to 2007, and later at Marel Food Systems - Scanvaegt from 2007 to 2008.

From 2008 to 2017, Jesper worked at Marel, initially as a Product Marketing Manager, and then as the Marketing Manager and Product Centre Manager. In these roles, they successfully turned around the non-profitable Product Center Multibatching (PC MB) into a profitable business within two years.

In 2017, Jesper became the Executive Vice President of Marel Further Processing (FP), where they supported the ambition of making FP a growth driver for the company. Jesper actively participated in the company's Executive Team during their tenure. In 2020, they transitioned to the role of Vice President of Prepared Foods at Marel Further Processing B.V., where they focused on the growth of the prepared foods division.

More recently, Jesper has held the position of President at Wenger Manufacturing, Inc. and Vice President of Business Development at Marel since 2022. Additionally, they assumed the role of Vice President of Business Development at Marel earlier in the same year.

Throughout their career, Jesper has demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive growth and profitability in various roles within the food processing industry.

Jesper Hjortshoj completed their primary school education at in Skagen from 1984 to 1989. Jesper then pursued their MA degree in Media and Communication Studies, Political Science at Aarhus University from 1996 to 2002. Later, from 2011 to 2015, they attended Aarhus University again and obtained their MBA degree in Business Administration and Management, General.
