Ray Stanley

CIO & VP at Marian University

Ray Stanley is the current CIO and VP at Marian University. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Solutions Delivery / Deputy Chief Information and Technology Officer at the Indiana Public Retirement System from September 2008 to January 2016. In this role, they were responsible for actively managing the Application Development and Quality Assurance teams, overseeing budgeting, planning, and execution for several development groups (including outsourced vendors) and performance measurement of those groups.

Before their time at the Indiana Public Retirement System, Ray Stanley worked as a Sr. Program Manager at Cummins, Inc. from May 2005 to September 2008. In this role, they provided Senior Project Management and Leadership on various Marketing efforts within the Engine Business Unit and assisted with Cummins’ activities surrounding enterprise Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence architecture and standardization. Ray also served as the lead architect of a Business Intelligence application moving a Mainframe Focus database to a newly designed Data Warehouse environment; the project manager of a Data Warehouse application that integrated data from various sources within Cummins Inc.; the project manager and architect of a large Data Warehouse which integrated multiple data sources for tracking and analyzing Extended Coverage data; and IT lead on a Six Sigma project that implemented a corporate-wide CDI (Customer Data Integration) product.

Ray Stanley completed a BS in MIS from Ball State University, followed by an AA in Marketing also from Ball State University. Ray then went on to complete an MS in the Center for Information Communication Sciences from Ball State University. Upon graduation, they received their PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
