Somasree Bose Awasthi

Somasree Bose Awasthi serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Marico Limited since November 2022, bringing extensive experience from their prior role as Chief Marketing Officer at Godrej Consumer Products Limited from April 2007 to November 2022. Somasree has successfully led various marketing initiatives for prominent brands, including Godrej no 1, Cinthol, and Protekt, achieving multiple awards for innovation and brand excellence. Notable accomplishments include launching the first-ever powder to liquid handwash, Godrej Protekt Mr. Magic, and introducing the Cinthol Male grooming range. Prior roles include General Manager of marketing in household insecticides and aircare, and Somasree began their career at Godrej Sara Lee Ltd. Somasree holds an MBA in Marketing & HR from Xavier Institute of Management, where Somasree graduated as a Gold Medallist, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from RKNEC, also graduating as a Gold Medallist.
