Alisa Cooper is an experienced English professor with a strong background in online and hybrid course design and instruction, currently teaching at Glendale Community College since August 2009. In addition to teaching freshman composition and literature courses, Alisa developed and teaches a journalism class, Writing for Online Media. As the Faculty Director of the Center for Teaching, Learning & Engagement since Fall 2014, Alisa has played a key role in collaborating with faculty and staff to enhance instructional practices. Previously, Alisa held positions at Maricopa Community Colleges, South Mountain Community College, Phoenix College, Central Arizona College, Mesa Public Schools, and Deer Valley Unified School District, consistently contributing to English education and coaching in various capacities. Alisa earned an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology & Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University and holds degrees from Northern Arizona University, California State University, Bakersfield, and Phoenix College.
