Stacey Akahoshi

Stacey Akahoshi currently serves as Virtual Content Manager at the Maricopa County Library District since May 2022. Prior to this role, Stacey was the Makerspace Librarian for the City of Chandler, Arizona from January 2020 to May 2022, where significant contributions included establishing a new makerspace, collaborating with various community organizations, and developing safety policies. Stacey held multiple positions at the City of Santa Barbara from May 2017 to December 2019, culminating as a Senior Library Technician in Youth Services and as an Acting Digital Services Librarian, where data analysis and reporting were key responsibilities. Additional experience includes working as an Insurance Account Representative at Teresa Akahoshi State Farm Agency and various library roles at Library Systems & Services, LLC. Stacey earned a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Washington (2015-2018) and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of California, Riverside (2009-2014).
