Linda Hyman

Director Of Education at Marine Biological Laboratory

Linda Hyman currently serves as the Director of Education at the Marine Biological Laboratory since August 2019. In addition, Linda has held the position of Associate Provost for Graduate Sciences at Boston University since 2009 and served as Associate Provost at the Boston University School of Medicine from July 2009 to August 2019, overseeing MA/MS and PhD programs. Prior experience includes acting as Division Director at the National Science Foundation from September 2015 to January 2017, managing the Division of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences while on leave from Boston University. Linda also directed the WWAMI medical program at Montana State University from November 2003 to June 2009 and held academic positions at Tulane University from August 1993 to November 2003, focusing on yeast genetics and course management. Linda earned a PhD in Biology from Brandeis University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University at Albany.
