Scott Schermerhorn

Scott provides personalized wealth management solutions for high-net-worth individuals. He works with clients to define their goals, then designs, implements and monitors customized plans to help them reach those goals.

Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, Scott was the managing partner and CIO for Granite Investment Advisors. Prior to that, Scott worked for Choate Investment Advisors as a managing director and group heads. Before that, he worked for Marblehead Management as the president and CIO and worked at Columbia Management Group, Inc. as the senior vice president and head of the large cap value team. Before this, he worked at Colonial Management Associates as the senior vice president and head of the value team. Scott began his career at Dreman Value Management and the Bank of New York as a portfolio manager with stops at J. & W. Seligman & Company, Inc. as the senior vice president and Federated Investors as the vice president and lead portfolio manager.
