Marlene L. Peterson has a wealth of experience in the food safety and quality assurance sector. Marlene L. began in 2007 as a Food Scientist Assistant at The Coca-Cola Company, where they assisted a team of Product Developing Scientists and managed multiple projects. In 2008, they became a Research Biologist/Biologist Assistant at the University of Florida, where they assisted the Entomology professor with various research projects and studies. In 2009, they took on the role of Quality Assurance Manager at West Point Dairy Products Inc, where they were responsible for the Quality Programs and Food Safety for the entire facility. Marlene L. then moved on to become Quality & Food Safety Manager at Bimbo Bakeries USA and Sara Lee in 2011, where they were the leader of Food Safety and Quality programs for the entire facility and maintained and lead SQF 2000 Level 3 Certification. From 2012 to 2017, they were Quality Assurance Manager at King's Hawaiian, where they were the SQF Practitioner and HACCP Coordinator, implemented SQF systems at the facility level, developed Policies & Procedures in compliance with the SQF code version 7th, and trained and maintained all training records on critical food safety and quality requirements. In 2017, they became Quality Assurance Manager at Florida's Natural Growers, and in 2019, they took on the role of Quality Assurance, Chemistry and Microbiology Lab Manager at Florida Caribbean Distillers. Marlene L. is currently the Director of Food Safety, Quality and Technical Department at Mario Camacho Foods.

Marlene L. Peterson attended Havana University from 1989 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry.
