Oddvar Husby has extensive work experience in various roles within the oil and gas industry. Oddvar started their career as a Reservoir Engineer in the R&D department of Statoil in 2001 and later held positions such as Senior Reservoir Engineer and Staff Reservoir Engineer at different offshore oil fields. Husby then became a Discipline Leader in Reservoir Technology at Statoil before transitioning to the role of Project Leader in Reservoir Technology for the Statfjord field. Oddvar was also a Leader in Petroleum Technology for the Statfjord field.

In 2012, Husby joined National Oilwell Varco as a Manager for Structural Calculation before moving to Shell in 2013. At Shell, they served as the Well, Reservoir, and Facilities Management Lead. After working at Shell for five years, Husby joined Sea Data Center in 2019 as the Chairman of the Board.

Husby then returned to the oil and gas industry in 2018 when they joined Maritech. Oddvar took on the role of Director in Analytics and later became the VP of Data Science. Overall, Husby's work experience spans across various roles within the oil and gas industry, showcasing their expertise in reservoir engineering, project management, and data analytics.

Oddvar Husby earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Industrial Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the years 1992 to 1996. Oddvar later pursued a PhD in Mathematics from the same university, completing it from 1997 to 2001.
