Darlene Gonzalez-Szabo

Darlene Gonzalez-Szabo, AICP, ENV SP, currently serves as a Senior Transportation Planning Project Manager at Mark Thomas since August 2025, following a tenure as a Senior Project Planner at Mott MacDonald from September 2016 to August 2025. During this period, Darlene provided transit planning and project management support to various agencies, including SCRRA, Caltrain, and LA Metro, focusing on areas such as community engagement and grant writing. Previously, Darlene held roles at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, where responsibilities included managing the Rider Relief Transportation Program, and at the Orange County Transportation Authority as a Rail Operations Intern. Darlene earned a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with a specialization in Transportation from UC Irvine and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
