Elena Didita

Elena Didita is the Head of Corporate Catastrophe Management at Markel, a position held since 2020. Prior to this role, Elena served as AVP - Major Casualty Risks & Analytics at SCOR and as VP - Catastrophe Modeling, Reinsurance Analytics at QBE the Americas from 2011 to 2019. Earlier experience includes AVP - Corporate Catastrophe Modeling Manager at ACE Group and Director of Reinsurance Analysis at Everest Global Services, where critical contributions were made in catastrophe modeling and reinsurance analysis. Elena began a career in reinsurance as an Assistant Actuary at Everest Reinsurance Group and has a background in executive assistance at M.F. Smith. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Rutgers University, complemented by studies at Colegiul National Sf Sava and the University of Bucharest.
