Neil Hsieh has a diverse work experience in various fields. In 2012, they worked as a Summer Research Student at Taiwan National University of Kaohsiung, where they contributed to the investigation of grapheme applications in medical diagnosis. Neil also worked as a Lab Resource Allocation Assistant at the University of Toronto in 2014, where they arranged meetings and built a platform for research groups to share valuable resources. In 2013, Hsieh was a member of the Fabrication Team at Blue Sky Solar Racing Team Club, where they gained hands-on experience in solar car body frame fabrication.

In 2012, Neil Hsieh was an Unfranchise Owner and Development Team Leader at Market America, Inc., where they taught and led a team of new shop consultants and developed recruiting and selling skills. Neil also worked as an Executive Producer at Neilicious Gourmet Food Studio in 2015, where they created a YouTube channel to share creative and delicious food ideas.

Most recently, Hsieh worked as a Foreign Language Specialist (Conscript) at the Performing Art Center, Bureau of Cultural Affairs, Kaohsiung City Government. In this role, they translated articles for the Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival, provided interpretation for meetings and conferences, coordinated with city councilors for community shows, and helped plan and execute various events.

Neil Hsieh attended the University of Toronto from 2011 to 2015, where they pursued an Engineer's Degree in Materials Engineering. In addition to their major, they also completed an Engineering Business Minor and an Environmental Engineering Minor during their time at the university.
