Kirsten Hoppe

Kirsten Hoppe has a strong background in credit and market risk analysis. Kirsten is currently the Head of Credit and Market Risk for EMEA and APAC at MarketAxess, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Credit & Market Risk for EMEA at MarketAxess from January 2019 to January 2023. Earlier in their career, Kirsten worked at M&G as a Senior Analyst, specializing in counterparty credit risk assessment. Kirsten held this role from August 2015 to January 2016. Before joining M&G, Kirsten worked at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as a Credit Analyst in trading credit risk management. Their responsibilities included preparing credit risk analyses, liaising with compliance and legal departments, monitoring counterparty exposures, and overseeing process improvements. Kirsten held this role from May 2006 to May 2007. From June 2007 to December 2013, Kirsten returned to M&G as a Senior Analyst, focusing on counterparty assessment, rating, and limit setting, as well as valuation of privately held assets.

Kirsten Hoppe attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on Finance and Economics. Additionally, they have attained several certifications, including the CFA Level 1 from The CFA Institute in 2011, and an Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from The CFA Institute in 2009.
