Terence Alexander

Terence Alexander has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Terence began their career as a Junior Commodities Dealer at Phibro-Salomon Brothers in 1989 and later moved to AIG as a Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Trader. At AIG, they quoted foreign exchange forwards and interest rate swaps to the interbank market and AIG's global funds.

In 1997, Terence joined Scotiabank as a Senior Foreign Exchange Trader before moving to ABB as a Senior Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Trader in 1998. Terence then joined BMI Research (A Fitch Group Company) in 2000 as the Head of Capital Markets, where they managed the Capital Markets team and evolved financial markets content to produce specific views and forecasts across global foreign exchange, fixed income, and equity markets.

Terence returned to BMI Research in 2005 as the Head of Country Risk and Capital Markets, overseeing the merger of the Country Risk and Capital Markets teams into a unified team. Terence managed the team and ensured the quality and coherence of political risk and macroeconomic views and forecasts across 180 countries.

Throughout their time at BMI Research, Terence held various roles, including Head of Global Research, Head of Global Research and Head of Americas Sales, and Chief Operating Officer. In these roles, they managed and grew analyst teams, ran the global research team, and was responsible for account retention and new business revenues.

In 2016, Terence joined Fitch Information Services as the Head of Content. Terence then became the Managing Director at BMI Research, where they were responsible for the management, performance, and growth of the Asia Sales team and the expansion of the Asia business.

Terence's most recent role was as the CEO of MNI - Market News, a leading provider of news and intelligence on Central Bank policy. Terence provided critical insight for market professionals and helped make informed investment decisions. MNI has press credentials recognized by various organizations, including the US houses of Congress, the Fed, and the ECB. Terence joined MNI in 2017 and their tenure is ongoing.

Terence Alexander obtained a Bachelor's Degree in French Studies from the University of Exeter between the years 1985 and 1989.
