Raymond Meyers has a long and varied work experience. Raymond began their career in 1984 as a Senior Health Physics Technician at Bartlett Nuclear, where they held this role for nine years. From 1993 to 1996, they worked as a Radiological Control Technician at SEG. Raymond then moved to Westinghouse Hanford Corporation in 1996, where they held a temporary role as a Senior Health Physics Technician. In 1997, they took on a Training Specialist/Consultant role at Southern Technical Services. From 1998 to 2000, they worked as a Senior Health Physics Technician at Thermo Hanford. Raymond then moved to Fluor Hanford in 2000, where they held the role of Senior Radiological Control Technician until 2007. In 2007, they began working as a Senior Training Specialist at MSA/HAMMER. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Basin College. Finally, in 2015, they began working as the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer at Gene's Stop & Go, where they are still employed.
Raymond Meyers began their educational journey in 1972 when they attended Montesano High School from 1972 to 1975. Raymond then attended U.S. Naval Nuclear Power School from 1977 to 1978. Following this, they attended Grays Harbor College from 1979 to 1981, although they did not receive a degree. In 2010, they received an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in General Studies from Exelsior College. Additionally, in 1994, they obtained a Registered Radiation Protection Technologist certification from the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists. In 2012, they obtained a Radioactive Material Shipper (certified) certification from Energy Solutions.
