Job description

Marketwake is seeking a talented Web Designer who excels in creating visually stunning and user-friendly websites for our diverse clientele. This role requires a high level of creativity, technical proficiency, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be adept at translating client requirements into functional, aesthetically pleasing web designs and collaborating closely with various teams to bring these designs to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Ownership: Take full ownership of design projects, from initial concept through to final execution.Make sure timelines and milestones stay on track.
  • Layout and Templates: Design page layouts and templates that are visually appealing and functional.
  • Brand Consistency: Curate and develop brand expressions (image treatments, icons, typography, etc.) that are cohesive and innovative for each specific client. Develop and maintain consistent branding across all design projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers,art director, marketers, developers, and other team members to ensure cohesive and effective design solutions.
  • Data-Driven Design: Utilize data and analytics to inform design decisions and enhance user experience.
  • Dev Handoff: Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure web stylesheets and dev-ready comps are handed off seamlessly to ensure successful production of designs.
  • Asset Management: Organize and maintain a database of design assets for easy access and reuse.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Web Designer.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles, including color theory, image composition, and typography.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Figma.
  • Awareness of UI/UX principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with digital photo editing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed design decisions.

What This Looks Like:

  • Work within client-specific brand guidelines.
  • Bring projects from the concept phase through to production.
  • Concept and design digital deliverables ranging from websites to landing pages and occasionally supporting with email and social media asset creation.
  • Coordinate high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with Creative & Development teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of deliverables
  • Demonstrate strong conceptual abilities, remarkable design skills, and a solid knowledge of the digital landscape.
  • Present clear, compelling visions to clients that align with their brand goals.
  • Inspire clients and team members with innovative visual designs.
  • Lead by example and mentor junior designers in their development.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Atlanta based preferred (hybrid-mode) but open to fully remote for the right candidate.
