Courtney Sorger

Courtney Sorger joined Oak Valley Health in November 2020 as the Interim Chief, Communications and Public Affairs. She is now the Chief Community Engagement and Wellness Officer. With over 15 years of experience in strategic communications in health care, she is accountable for all aspects of communications and public affairs including external stakeholder engagement and internal communications with staff, physicians and volunteers across the organization. Courtney has a Master of Arts in Journalism from Western University and began her career as a journalist working in the newsroom at CTV National News. Her passion for health care related issues led her to pursue a career that has included roles with the Ontario Medical Association, Ontario Dental Association and most recently as the Director of Communications and Public Affairs at North York General Hospital.
