Laurie Markiewicz

Laurie Markiewicz has a diverse work experience. Laurie is currently the Head Teacher of Pre-Nursery School Programming at Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, Laurie worked as a Photographer at Laurie Markiewicz Photography since November 2009. Laurie also has experience as a Kindergarten Teacher at Ethical Culture Fieldston School from September 2020 to June 2021, and as a Teacher at The Educational Alliance from June 2008 to September 2020.

Laurie Markiewicz completed their Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed) with a focus in Early Childhood General & Special Education at Bank Street College of Education from 2020 to 2024. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Photojournalism/Film Studies from The New School, where they studied from 2017 to 2020. In 2001 and 2002, Laurie attended Temple University but did not attain a specific degree. Before that, they pursued a degree in Human Services, specializing in Social Work, at Tunxis Community College from 1999 to 2001.
