Amateur Scouting Analyst at Miami Marlins

Justin Brands has worked as an amateur scouting analyst for the Miami Marlins since September 2018. Prior to that, they were a video associate for the Los Angeles Dodgers from March to September 2018. Before that, they worked as an OADP summer analyst for JPMorgan Chase & Co. from June to August 2017. From February to August 2016, Justin Brands was the coordinator for sport development at USA Baseball. Justin was also an intern for baseball operations at the California Winter League in January and February 2016. In May to August 2015, Justin Brands worked as a server assistant at Eddie Merlot's Prime Aged Beef and Seafood. Justin also conducted a time study as an assistant to graduate student research at Ohio State University College of Engineering in August 2014 aimed at improving the efficiency of freshman students' move-in. Justin collected data on total time families spent moving through the tasks required before moving in personal belongings in order to analyze floor layout to reduce wait time. The project saw a 5-10% increase in move-in efficiency.

Justin Brands attended The Ohio State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
