Ted Chiasson

Ted Chiasson has worked in various industries, starting as a police officer and emergency medical technician at the Gretna Police Department in 1991. Ted has also worked as a video production engineer at the Church of Abundant Life from 1996 to 2010. Later, they ventured into the construction industry and worked as an owner, operator, and licensed Louisiana residential general contractor at Promiseland Construction from 2004 to 2010.

In 2005, they took the role of lead site superintendent at Sunrise Homes Inc and worked there until 2008. Ted then worked as a police officer 2-A at Delgado Community College from 2017 to 2018. During this time, they also served as a sheriff's deputy at Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, starting as a reserve Sheriff's deputy in 2017 and later as a Sheriff's deputy until 2020.

Ted Chiasson became an associate broker and realtor at Hugh Humphrey Real Estate in 2010 and worked there until June 2021. Ted then established their own real estate firm, Ted Chiasson Real Estate, in July 2021. In November 2021, they became the owner-operator of Self-Service Car Wash at Living In The Cone dba Ted's Car Wash.

Finally, in 2023, Ted Chiasson started working as a property manager at Marrero Land and Improvement Association, Limited.

Ted Chiasson holds a high school diploma from John Ehret High School which they obtained in 1990. In the same year, they completed an emergency medical technician course at Delgado Community College. The following year, they received the Police Officer's Standards and Training Post Certification from the State of Louisiana and the Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician Certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Ted also attended the City of Gretna Police Academy to pursue police work. In 2004, they obtained the Louisiana Mobile Home Commission Developers License and the General Contractors License Certification. Ted received the Broker Pre-Licensing & Post Licensing Course from Donaldson Real Estate in 2016 and the Louisiana Broker degree from Louisiana Real Estate Commission in 2015. Ted has also completed a Police Academy Refresher Course at St. Charles Police Academy in 2018 and a Salesperson Post Licensing and Salesperson Pre-Licensing Course from Latter & Blum and Donaldson Real Estate, respectively, in 2008.
