Dara Young

Dara Young is an experienced public relations professional with a strong background in the hospitality industry. Currently serving as the Director of Public Relations for Marriott International since 2018, Dara oversees communications for the WAIKIKI Collection, including renowned properties like the Sheraton Waikiki and The Royal Hawaiian. Prior to this role, Dara held the same title at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and served as Public Relations Manager at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikīkī Beach Resort, managing extensive public relations efforts for one of Hilton's largest properties. Earlier experience includes roles at Communications Pacific, Inc., Stryker Weiner & Yokota Public Relations, and KHON2, where Dara developed significant community initiatives and honed media relations skills. Dara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations from the University of Hawai‘i - Mānoa.
