Senior Principal Scientist at Mars

Kelly Almond, Ph.D., DABT has extensive work experience in the field of science. Kelly currently holds the position of Senior Principal Scientist at Mars since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at PepsiCo, where they held various roles including Principal Scientist, Associate Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist from 2016 to 2022. Before their industry experience, they worked at St John's University, where they served as Manager for Zebrafish Facility and Teaching Fellow from 2011 to 2016. Kelly also worked as a Graduate Assistant and Graduate Research Student at the same institution, conducting research on the effects of Copper Pyrithione on developing zebrafish.

Kelly Almond, Ph.D., DABT completed their education in the field of Toxicology. Kelly obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from St. John's University from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Toxicology from St. John's University between 2008 and 2011.

In addition to their educational background, Kelly Almond holds the DABT (Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology) certification. Kelly obtained this certification from the American Board of Toxicology, Inc. in October 2021.
