Ryan Skinner

Ryan Skinner has a range of work experience in project engineering and controls across different companies. Ryan started their career as an Automation Technician at Plano Molding Co. in 1995, where they focused on designing, installing, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Ryan then moved to Wrigley in 2002, where they took on various roles such as Sr. Controls/Programmer and Project Engineer/Controls Manager, specializing in PLC programming, electrical system design, and HMI integration. In 2017, Ryan joined Mars as a Regional Project Engineer, where they managed and developed a Factory Cyber Security program and later became a Regional Principal Project Engineer, responsible for developing standards and policies, mentoring engineers, and leading critical projects.

Ryan Skinner completed their education in a progressive manner, starting with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Automation Technology from Waubonsee Community College in 2007. Ryan then pursued further education at Northern Illinois University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Management and Technology in the years 2010-2015. Continuing their academic journey, Ryan completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Management from Northern Illinois University from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Ryan Skinner has obtained various certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. These certifications include "Developing a Critical Thinking Mindset" and "Telling Stories with Data" from LinkedIn in 2023, "Industrial Control Panel UL 508A Essentials" from UL in 2021, and "Functional Safety Technician (FS Tech - TUV Rheinland)" from TÜV Rheinland Group in 2019.
