Wayne Price

Wayne Price has extensive work experience in the food industry, specifically in roles related to research and development. Wayne started their career as a Senior Research Scientist at Mars from 2007 to 2011, where they led multi-disciplinary project teams and provided technical leadership on ingredient specifications and application. Wayne then joined the Royal Society of Chemistry as a member of the Analytical Biosciences Committee from 2010 to 2014. Wayne returned to Mars in 2011 as a Senior Associate Principal Scientist, and subsequently held roles as an Associate Principal Scientist and a Senior Principal Scientist. During this time, they managed various projects, provided technical leadership in fats and oils research, and was responsible for the development and commercialization of new chocolate masses. Wayne also served as the Global Chocolate Technical Lead and Innovation Section Manager and led a team in developing and implementing new chocolate mass raw materials. In 2019, Wayne joined Mondelēz International as the External Manufacturing Manager, where they provide cross-functional leadership for complex external manufacturing projects and leads teams to address capacity constraints and quality improvements.

Wayne Price holds a PhD in Chemistry from Imperial College London, which they earned in the period from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained an MChem degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Warwick, completing their studies there from 1999 to 2003.
