Dontá Morrison

Dontá Morrison, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dontá served as the Vice President at MarSell Wellness Center since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Associate Director of HIV Prevention Services at APLA Health & Wellness from 2019 to 2023. Dontá also gained experience as a Research Associate at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and as an HIV/AIDS Educator at the Center for Health Justice in 2007. Before their career in healthcare and research, Dr. Morrison served in the United States Air Force in logistics and traffic management from 1990 to 1994.

Dontá Morrison, Ph.D., obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in International/Global Studies from Pepperdine University from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Social Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology from 2015 to 2017. Dontá'sundergraduate degree, a B.S in Human Services, was earned from Springfield College from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they have certifications in Results Through Relationships from Core Strengths (obtained in 2020), a Ministerial License from Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship (obtained in 2004), HIV Test Counselor from the Los Angeles Division of HIV and STD Programs, and Preventing Workplace Harassment from the Nonprofits Insurance Alliance Group.
