Courtney Ferrara

Director, Financial Advisory at MarshBerry

Courtney Ferrara joined MarshBerry in 2014 as a Consultant and was promoted to Senior Consultant in January of 2016. She was subsequently promoted in February of 2020 to Vice President, Financial Advisory Operations. She is responsible for financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, insurance agency and brokerage valuations buy side due diligence, compensation consulting, and ownership perpetuation plans, including MarshBerry’s proprietary iCAP (Integrated Continuity Alignment Plan) solution. In her operations role, Courtney drives the execution of team strategic initiatives including training and development, industry best practices, and other special projects. Courtney is also a facilitator for two Strategic Issues Groups within MarshBerry’s executive peer exchange network, Connect.

Courtney is a frequent contributor to industry publications and MarshBerry’s proprietary magazine, CounterPoint, and daily blog, ViewPoint, that are published for independent insurance agents and brokers, private equity firms, banks & credit unions, and insurance carriers, and specialty distributors.

Courtney currently maintains the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE®) Exam, in addition to the Series 7, 79, and 63 FINRA Registrations through MarshBerry Capital, LLC, the affiliated FINRA-registered Broker/Dealer of Marsh, Berry & Co., LLC. She has also passed the CFA Level I Exam.

Prior to joining MarshBerry, Courtney was a Partner and Research Associate at Cleveland Research Company, a sell-side equity research firm in Cleveland, OH. Courtney covered industrial distribution and heavy machinery sectors while at Cleveland Research where she also earned her Series 86 & 87 FINRA registrations (inactive). Her Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing was earned at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.
