Marília Avelar

Marília Avelar has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Marília is currently working at Marshmallow as a Principal Data Scientist, a position they have held since October 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at Marshmallow from December 2021 to October 2023.

Before joining Marshmallow, Marília worked at esure Group as a Senior Data Scientist from March 2021 to November 2021.

Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Aerodynamics & Wind Energy at TU Delft from 2011 to 2013. Marília also attended VKI in 2012 for a specific program in PLIF based on naphthalene for BL visualization in hypersonic flow. Marília holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Sciences (BS) from Instituto Superior Técnico, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in data science and programming from Coursera in 2017. In 2010, Marília briefly studied Human SpaceFlight and Exploration at Umeå University.
