Brian Pope

Brian Pope currently leads Investments, Growth & Partnerships at Martello Re, focusing on strategic investment initiatives and operational improvements. Previously, as Vice President of Private Investments at American Century Investments, Brian was instrumental in integrating a new business unit post-acquisition, developing comprehensive reporting and compliance programs. At Passport, Brian served as SVP of Finance and Corporate Development, overseeing financial management and team leadership across various functions. As Managing Member at Silverport, Brian provided advisory services to small private companies and investment firms. Brian's extensive experience at Barings included leading business development and portfolio management for alternative investments, while earlier roles also encompassed M&A at Edgeview Partners and financial analysis at Reynolds American. Brian holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in Finance and General Management from North Carolina State University.
