Michelle van Dorn

Michelle Van Dorn is a seasoned digital and communications strategist currently working at Martin Bros. Distributing Co., Inc. since September 2022. With a strong background in athletic communications, Michelle served as the assistant athletic director of communications at the University of Northern Iowa from August 2012 to October 2022, overseeing social media for Panther Athletics and producing videos for all 17 intercollegiate teams. Additional experience includes roles at Hawkeye Community College as an adjunct instructor, teaching media writing, and working with the City of Waterloo as a camera operator for live broadcasts. Michelle also held positions as an executive editor at Wasendorf & Associates and as an online editor at Lee Enterprises, focusing on video production and content coordination. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Arts in print and electronic journalism from Wartburg College in 1998.
